Hard to believe that I reached the last destination of my trip that's in Asia. I randomly booked a cheap hostel in Little India via the Internet - and it turned out to be quite good.
Singapore is special in Asia. As clean as its reputation and everything seems to be incredibly organized.
First day I spent walking around Orchard Road and the Botanical Gardens. Lots of walking involved, especially as I took a wrong street what made me walk around a residential area with a golf course on the way to the Botanical Gardens. As that wasn't quite enough for a day I went on the Night Safari where you get to see all sorts of animals in semi darkness. The best were the giant flying squirrels.
The other days I explored Chinatown, Little India, Clarke's Quay, Sentosa Island, and loads of other places with some guys. We did some suggested walkabouts, but specialized in food tasting.
Some great food courts gave us the chance to try all sorts of Chinese, Indian, Malay and local dishes.
As on of the English guys insisted on the experience to have a Singapore Sling at Raffles Hotel we went there as well. To be honest - you don't have to follow every advice of your guidebook :-)
