ENG - Diving the Similans

After having only spent 15 out of 185 hours on land and the rest on various boats I arrived on Koh Lanta today.
The 5 days diving on the Similans and beyond were great. Even though the spectacular big stuff as Mantas or Whale Sharks did not want to show themselves as they did three years ago.
There was a Swedish majority on the boat - 9 Swedes vs. 2 German. I'm quite happy that it was not the other way around.
We were a great team and the food on Jonathan Cruiser was brilliant as always.
As the big stuff did not come we could focus on the tiny underwater inhabitants as ghost pipe fish, sea horses, shrimp, nudiebranches, ...
There were loads of chances to improve my underwater photography skills.
Loads of underwater pics as well as shots of nearly every sunset and sunrise...
As always it was a bit sad to leave after 5 days but this time I didn't have a lot of time to think about it as I was directly transferred to the ferry to Koh Lanta.
There I found a bargain accommodation close to the beach with my own hammock.
Now some small cuts will keep me on land for a few days - thus I'll have the chance to explore the island
